This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal data when using our pet-sitting platform, website, or app, in compliance with the DPDP Act, 2023 and applicable Indian laws.  By using Tailmate, you accept this policy; if you disagree, do not use our services.

Tailmate collects personal data from pet parents and sitters to enable bookings, verification, and care services.​

• User details: Name, email, phone, address, date of birth, profile photos, PAN/GST for payments.
   
• Pet information: Breed, age, photos/videos, medical history, vaccinations, special needs.
   
• Service data: Location (for matching sitters), booking history, payment info, real-time updates.
   
• Device/usage data: IP address, browser type, location data, app interactions.​
   

We gather this directly from you (e.g., sign-up, bookings), automatically (cookies, logs), or third parties (verification services like AuthBridge).​

Data supports Tailmate's core mission of trusted pet-sitting in India. library​

• Provide matching, bookings, updates, and payments.
   
• Verify sitters (background checks, training).
   
• Personalize recommendations and send notifications.
   
• Analyze usage for improvements and fraud prevention.
   
• Comply with laws and resolve disputes.​
   

Processing requires your free, informed consent, except for legitimate uses like service delivery.​

We share data only as needed and never sell it for marketing without consent.​

Transfers outside India follow DPDP safeguards; data stays in India where possible.

Tailmate uses encryption, access controls, and audits to protect data from breaches.  No system is fully secure; we notify you of incidents per law.  Data retains only as needed (e.g., 7 years for tax) or until deletion request, then securely erased.​
